Place: Coolwater on the Pine Campground on the beautiful Pine River near Wellston MI.
Come join your fellow paddlers from around the midwest for a weekend of paddling and comaraderie on two of Michigan's premier paddling rivers! The tentative schedule looks something like this:
EARLYBIRD SPECIAL! Thursday, Sept 22: Betsie River
Friday afternoon, Sept 23: Manistee River (Hodenpyle Dam to Red Bridge).
Saturday, Sept. 24: Pine River, Meadowbrook to Campground.
Sunday morning, Sept. 25: Pine River, Campground to Low Bridge.
Saturday, Sept. 24: Pine River, Meadowbrook to Campground.
Sunday morning, Sept. 25: Pine River, Campground to Low Bridge.
Registration: $5 (covers cost of firewood and rain tent)
Cost: $13 per person per night ($15 for elec)

Note: Besides your normal canoeing and camping gear, please be sure to be prepared for the possibility of cold weather. The early Autumn weather can be unpredictable in the northern LP. An extra dry bag with warm clothes is advisable, as are extra blankets or cold weather sleeping bags.
